"You are crossing the Jordan to come to the land which G-d is giving you, you must settle the land and live there..." Dvarim (Deuteronomy) 11:31
"In the beginning G-d created heaven and earth." Breshit (Genesis) 1:1
Rashi writes:
"Why does the Torah start with the creation, instead of the first commandment given to the
Jewish People? Because if the nations of the world ever accuse the Jews of stealing the Land of Israel,
the Jews will be able to respond to the nations of the world that the entire world belongs to G-d, He
created it and He choose to give the Land of Israel to the Jewish People."
"Now Israel, listen to the rules and laws that I am teaching you to do, so that you will remain alive and come to occupy the land that G-d, Lord of your fathers, is giving you." Dvarim (Deuteronomy) 4:1
"I will declare to you all the rules and laws that you shall teach them, so they will keep them in the land that I am giving them to occupy." Dvarim (Deuteronomy) 5:28
